You're amazing! Congratulation's on getting your job offer!

Though this could be a time where you squeal and jump for joy, you may not be feeling excited at the moment. Because the truth is, you feel anxious about making a decision. What if you make the wrong decision and end up taking the wrong job, missing better opportunities.

In today's blog post I'm going to reveal how you can make the best decision for you and be confident you made the right choice.

Before we dive into that, let's begin by talking about the number one mistake that leads you into feeling confused and potentially making the wrong decision.

This mistake is that you ask your friends and family for their opinion. You trust them and hope if they all recommend the same job, that is the right pick. However, the truth is, even though your friends and family have the best intentions, the reality is they don't have to live with the consequences of the job you take.

Their recommendations affect your life more than theirs. That's why it's super important to come to this decision on your own. To come to a decision you can live with and makes your life better.

Big question is, how do you do this? Here 5 questions you can ask to get clarity on which job is right for you.

#1 - Will this job make it easier to enjoy life today and in the future?

While you may not know exactly what you job you want to be doing in 10 or 20 years, you may have a clear idea of what work you don't want to be doing in the future.

Avoid taking a job that could pigeonhole you into a role you don't see yourself doing into the long term.

You also probably have an idea on which job will make your life easier or harder today. Will you work longer hours and not have time for your family? Will you have to make sacrifices? Or are you able to have flexible working?

Before accepting any offer, explore if the job can help you get the experience, skills, income, and opportunities you're looking for to make life enjoyable today and in the future.

#2 - Are you excited to do the day to day tasks?

This is a really important question... because if you don't think you'll enjoy your daily tasks, waking up in the morning to go to work will be a drag.

Get clear on which job you're more excited to do on a day to day basis.

#3 - Will you be surrounded by exceptional people?

To become an expert and leader at what you do, it really helps to work with some of the most talented people in your field.

The more intelligent, competitive and collaborative your team members are, the more they'll bring out the best in you. A good example of this is watching sports teams. The teams that always win, not only work well together, but they have an extremely good line up of brilliant athletes. And the teams that do mediocre or lose the most, do so because even if they have a few great players, as a team, they aren't better than the best players.

That's why it's really important for your growth and development to surround yourself with talented team players.

#4 - Are you afraid this role is a bit too challenging or senior?

Feeling a little scared about taking the role is a good sign. It means you're going to be challenged.

And while a part you may feel you aren't good enough... I invite you to consider you are. According to Glassdoor, many companies receive over 200 applications per job posting. Meaning if you got picked, you are their chosen 1%.

If they believe you can do the job... it's time you see that as a sign you can do this.

The more you challenge yourself to do things you're afraid you're not good enough to do, the more you'll discover your fears are purely fears and that they don't mean you can't do this. Have faith that you'll figure things out. But I guess... the only way you'll believe me is if you try and see this for yourself.

#5 - Is there room to negotiate a better job offer?

Last but not least, it's worth asking yourself if this is the final offer?

While a job offer is always amazing, sometimes you can sweeten the deal by negotiating a better job offer.
